This article shows specific details on adding products for the menu board app.

Product Library:

-changes in prices and other details updates all other Menu Templates which have the data

-importing csv file needs values as plain text

-Edit Fields Function:

a. Prices/Multiple Prices per product: better done via,

  • CSV template file

    • Go to O column (Product Fields)

    • use this format name:name1_value:value1;

    • add more after " ; "if needed

    • add "$" sign during this stage if needed for the prices.

    • for blank/free/empty prices, press "spacebar" or type " Free " for value1.

  • alternatively, for single products you can edit the fields if you go:

    • Product library > edit product > add fields

    • Notes on this method:

      • works best if only changing one product at a time. not efficient if doing bulk editing

      • for free items using this method, it will show the word "placeholder" in the products list

  • Changing prices in the product library should update any list that uses each item

b. step by step

    •

  • click on the product name and it should show a list of properties on the right side of the screen

    • at this point you can edit the font, alignment etc. of the product list. changing the first one should change the others automatically.

  • click on the product list and drag it to the top left corner of the grey border

    •

  • move mouse cursor to the grey border so it highlights it, drag the right side of it to the right to stretch until the outer blue border. then drag the bottom side to upwards to see the rest of the products on the list.

    •

  • tick the options on the side to show price 1, or price 2 (or any fields you set up in the .csv file)

    •

    • drag the prices to desired location

    • note: if you can't see the fields you set up, make sure they are ticked in the show options menu

      •

      • at this point, you can duplicate the product list, replace the products as needed.
